With more than 30 global locations, our well-networked investors, founders, and experienced mentors are ready to support the growth of their Indonesian business. As such, they are looking for a Vice President / Director to manage the operations in Indonesia.

Job Description

Our client is looking to bring on board a highly seasoned candidate to join their growing business. You will report to the regional team and be the main contact for corporate, investors, and potential venture owners. Eventually, you will be expected to open up the market. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing monthly reports to key stakeholders in both the local and global teams.
  • Identifying, developing, and leading corporate business development and partnerships with both local conglomerates and multinational corporations.
  • Achieving and exceeding sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities.
  • Working with the local and global teams to identify the next business opportunities by securing regional and global partnerships for partners interested in startup technology companies in Indonesia.
  • Increasing engagement with corporate partners by defining strategic focus areas and encouraging best practices.
  • Involved in the due diligence process to identify high-potential opportunities.
  • Executing strong internal and external communications with all stakeholders, managing communication and delivery between mentors, investors, government entities, and other industry players.
  • Taking the lead in scouting networks to source the best strategic partners locally and internationally.
  • Conducting market research and analyzing potential corporate clients relevant for strategic partnerships.
  • Developing and delivering presentations to prospective clients and working closely with the regional team for cross-sales.

The Successful Applicant

Only shortlisted Indonesian candidates will be contacted, and ideally, you will have in-depth knowledge of the startup technology ecosystem in Indonesia and a strong track record in business development / B2B sales.

Excellent English communication, both verbal and written, is a must.

Other requirements include:

  • Exposure in business development and client-facing roles is ideal, with a preference for those who have managed enterprise accounts or networks with local domestic clients.
  • At least 10+ years of working experience in an innovative startup environment, and a willingness to work in a lean structure.
  • A Master's degree or MBA from a top-tier business school is optional, but a Bachelor's in a related degree is a must. Overseas graduates, especially from the US, will be highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to set clear measurable objectives, delegate responsibilities, assess, recognize, and reward performance.
  • Drive and hunger to achieve results, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Independent, self-starter, detail-oriented, highly organized, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent business acumen, analytical skills, and a willingness to be hands-on, working within tight deadlines.
  • High commitment, confidence, motivation, and flexibility.
