Job Description:

  • Liaise with key government institutions on AFTECH Policy Roadmap and working groups priority programs and/or projects,
  • Manage AFTECH working groups and ensure achievement of their KPIs (including develop and/or update workplan, budget and activities),
  • Develop policy and/or regulatory analysis on selected topics,
  • Do research for the development of various publications, such as: policy briefs, policy reports, Annual Members Survey Report,
  • Provide regular update to members on the advocacy activities as well as engagement with key government officials,
  • Coordinate with various external stakeholders in delivering policy activities (including international organizations, academics, other associations, etc).

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy or other relevant field.

·      
At least 4 years of relevant cumulative public policy experiences working within the financial industry, consultancy, technology industry, government and regulatory agencies, or think tanks.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing for proper Bahasa Indonesia, same goes to English and ability to speak in one of the local languages is a strong point.
  • Necessary skills to thrive in a tech start-up world, including the ability to work independently, lead without authority and work effectively within an ambiguous, rapidly changing landscape.
  • Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, research/academic institutions, community or industry influencers, and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.
  • Proven ability to conceive, analyze, develop and execute medium-to-long term strategies and campaigns to deal with complex issues of technology, policy and law, involving multiple issues and players.
  • Good network and relationship with key policy makers and regulatory stakeholders in Indonesia related to financial services, fiscal or economy is a big plus.
  • Background in consulting firm, financial institution, fintech, or heavily regulated industries is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently, organized and result oriented.
