The Jakarta Marketing Office Head is responsible for overseeing the growth and development of the Independent Distribution Partner (IDP) network and Direct Business within the region. This role focuses on enhancing the IDP & Direct source of business, particularly in travel insurance for Umrah, Hajj, and halal travel through IDPs and travel associations. The position also involves managing team leadership and development, ensuring alignment with Shariah principles and achieving business objectives. This position will report to IDP Head & Branch Coordinator.

Duties & responsibilities :

  • Drive the growth of the Jakarta Marketing office by developing and implementing strategies to enhance contributions from IDPs, Direct business and also from travel insurance for Umrah, Hajj, and halal travel.
  • Increase the sourcing of direct business and the number of hired IDPs by implementing effective recruitment strategies and compliance with regulation. Build a robust network of IDPs to expand market reach and drive business growth.
  • Lead initiatives to develop and certify IDPs, ensuring they meet the required standards and are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. Organize training programs and workshops to support IDP development.
  • Conduct Performance Monitoring and Optimization by asessing performance regularly by utilizing data-driven insights to identify improvement opportunities and adjust strategies to enhance results and achieve business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the Jakarta Marketing office team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Provide training and mentorship to enhance team skills and performance, ensuring high levels of engagement and productivity.

  • Collaborate with travel associations and IDPs to promote and expand travel insurance partnership for Umrah, Hajj, and halal travel. Develop partnerships and strategies to increase market penetration in this segment.

  • Educational Background : Bachelors degree's in Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance or related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as marketing or sales role, preferably within the insurance industry. Experience in managing a team and overseeing branch operations is advantageous.
  • Having general insurance Certification and Shariah general insurance Certifications like CGI, AAAIK or Basic Shariah, AIIS is preferred
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategies, sales techniques, and performance monitoring tools. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer service excellence.
