We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Strategist to lead our commercial team in driving business growth and expansion.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for responsible product portfolios, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals and market dynamics.\
  • Formulate, coordinate, and realize commercial objectives, cascading them into go-to-market strategies, operational strategies, marketing strategies, and sales activities as part of the business plan.\
  • Lead commercialization initiatives for responsible product portfolios, encompassing market evaluation, pricing tactics, product launch strategies, and post-launch monitoring.\
  • Spearhead revenue growth and market infiltration through astute strategies.\
  • Monitor execution of plans for products mix and cycle, making corrective decisions to rectify identified gaps in business and product priorities.\
  • Evaluate and devise suitable direct and indirect business models to optimize market outreach, revenue generation, and customer relationships while streamlining distribution channels.\
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to flexibly adjust country strategies and maintain the Business Sector's competitive advantage amidst evolving market dynamics.\
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with key stakeholders, including HCPs, KOLs, and distributors.\
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to gauge the efficacy of commercial strategies, business progress, and activities in the short, medium, and long term.\
  • Plan, execute, and monitor potential new product launches, serving as the leading individual.\
  • Fully develop and drive company products strategy through a brand team approach and strong cross-functional execution of tactical activities.\
  • Hold accountability and responsibility for allocated financial aspects of responsible Business Sectors (forecast, expenditure, sales revenue, margin goals).\
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture conducive to individual growth and collective target attainment.\
  • Cultivate, develop, and mentor a high-performing commercial team.\
  • Create/maintain a working environment that stimulates and motivates employees, providing direction and promoting good mutual communication and teamwork.\
  • Develop team members to ensure succession and talent management is effective, securing business continuity and employee satisfaction/motivation.\
Requirements:\Degree in Pharmacy, Biology, or Medicine (life-science degree) plus degree-level or equivalent in a business-related subject such as Economic, Business Administration, and Marketing.\Experience at a multinational company is highly desired.\10-15 years of successful in-depth sales and marketing experience gained within the medical device/pharmaceuticals industry, focusing on increment revenue and growth, market/business development, and customer engagement.\Minimum 5 years of experience in managing a direct sales or product team.\Relevant sales experience in Regional/National Sales.\Knowledge in medical devices specifically for intraocular lens/ophthalmology/microscophe equipment is preferable.\Proven business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage business and P&L to meet objectives.\Experience in strategy development, project management, problem-solving, and change management.\Experience and success in recruiting and retaining a high-performance sales team and demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse sales team.\Benefits:\A competitive salary package.\An opportunity to work with a leading medical technology company.\A collaborative and innovative team environment.\Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.\Others:\This role will be based in [location].\The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the medical device/pharmaceuticals industry.\The successful candidate will be required to undergo a thorough background check and provide references.
