**Your Role and Responsibilities**
As Partner Technical Specialist, you will improve how IBM engages with the business partner and developer community, like the following:

- Develop first-class developer scenarios and demo apps, collateral, and training material on top of the IBM platform to demonstrate value and build excitement.
- Encourage participation of the business partner and developer community in programs to increase primary tools and platform adoption in the community.
- Present technology with enthusiasm and authenticity to business partner’s developers, developer managers and senior management.
- Extend the reach in the business partner and developer community by partnering with the business partner’s developer and community influencers.
- Become a thought leader in the market and a voice for our users inside the IBM developer organization.
- Create new market opportunities/identify innovative solutions to expand business partner and community developer engagements.
- As time permits, commit/review/fix code for open source projects and work on your passion projects.
**Required Professional and Technical Expertise**:

- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Deep expertise in Data fields such as Information Management & Governance, ETL, Big Data, and Analytics.
- Deep expertise in AI fields such as AI training, AI inferencing, and Machine Learning.
- Previous experience with a broad range of developer technologies and communities (DevOps, Java, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails, iOS, Android, etc.).
- Top-notch communication skills, including writing and speaking to large audiences and explaining/simplifying complex technologies to non-technical people.
- Eagerness to teach, mentor, and coach the Business Partner’s team and Developers Community during the journey of creating the solution using IBM products and technologies.
**Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise**:

Have knowledge and experience of IBM products and technologies such as Cloud Paks, IBM DB2, Watson, etc.
- Certification in cloud platforms (Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Google, Azure etc.) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with mobile development, mobile platforms, multi-channel app creation, integration, native development (iOS, Android, Java, C#) and HTML5.
- Demonstrated experience of advocacy for technology, brand or cause by contributing to, and participating in, online communities (GitHub, Stack Overflow, mailing lists, etc.).
