The Job Description
As the Smelter Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at the smelting facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Manage and optimize the smelting process to improve overall efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive productivity and minimize costs.
- Ensure all operations meet or exceed industry standards for safety and quality.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations staff.
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in smelting operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of nickel smelting processes and technologies.
- Proven track record of managing large teams and driving operational excellence.
