Purchasing Manager

Our client, dedicated to sourcing, roasting, and serving exceptional coffee, to create unique experiences that celebrate the rich flavours of Indonesian coffee culture, is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Solid understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and results-driven individual with a strong focus on cost management and supplier relations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally with other departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
- Knowledgeable about industry trends and emerging suppliers to optimise procurement processes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure the timely procurement of high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.
- Manage and oversee the entire purchasing process, including vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions to maximise cost savings and product quality.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure efficient stock control and avoid supply shortages or overstocking.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, finance, and retail operations) to understand their requirements and ensure supplies meet operational needs.
- Track and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual terms and quality standards.
- Conduct regular market research to stay informed of industry trends, pricing, and new suppliers.
- Coordinate and manage the purchasing budget, ensuring all purchases are within allocated financial limits.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications for audit and reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations regarding procurement and supply chain management.
