Our Trust & Safety team's commitment is to keep our online community safe. We have invested heavily in human and machine-based moderation to remove harmful content quickly and often before it reaches our general community.

Some content viewed may violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; murder.
We are looking for an Outreach & Partnerships Manager to ensure that our policy development, community guidelines, and policy enforcement are informed by external experts and advisors with a deep understanding of issue areas that are prevalent on the platform.
As an Outreach & Partnerships Manager, you are a primary contact between Global Trust & Safety and external stakeholders to gather feedback and test ideas that will enhance our policies and products. In this role, you will work closely with the entire T&S Product Policy and Product teams, as well as cross-functional partners in Public Policy, Communications, Legal, and Operations to ensure that TikTok cultivates policies that promote creativity and joy while keeping our community safe.
You have an insatiable appetite for protecting users and significant experience facilitating productive dialogue with internal teams and the communities they seek to serve. You will serve as an external ambassador for TikTok and will be proficient in constituent outreach, building partnerships, and creating forums to inform policies, processes, and internal training.
**Responsibilities**:
What will I be doing?
- You will research, identify, and collaborate with external experts (e.g. academia, civil sector players, Key Opinion Leaders, etc.) and leverage their expertise and resources to develop corresponding safety programs to improve the Trust & Safety approach in your designated regional markets
- You'll collaborate with internal teams to draft strategic plans for your designated regional markets in an effort to enhance the safety of our users and trust in the platform
- You'll act as a representative and spokesperson on TikTok’s Trust & Safety policies, procedures, product features, and internal workflows within your designated regional markets
- You'll build and develop relationships with all OPM colleagues and key XFN partners for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing workstreams, and help to define new operational strategies for the implementation of external feedback
- You will need to travel to manage stakeholders and projects
**Qualifications**:
What should I bring with me?
- You have 5+ years of experience in business, partnerships, product marketing, policy programming, operations, support management, or project management
- You have knowledge of mainstream video-sharing products and experience designing programs relating to multiple issues
- You have experience working independently and with global cross-function teams such as policy, legal, operations, and product
- You have the ability to drive projects cross-functionally, run consensus-based stakeholder management, and build positive relationships with both internal and external partners
- You are an excellent communicator in written and verbal form across technical and non-technical audiences
- You have experience planning and leading strategic initiatives and events
- You have experience at a fast-growing tech company and/or a global company
- Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions
- Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven, and high EQ
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working for an advocacy organization or in a partnerships function
- Experience working at high-growth tech startups
- Experience in internal learning and development
- English proficiency, along with complete fluency in Bahasa Melayu, as you might be assigned to predominantly cover the Bahasa Melayu speaking market.
