Strategic Business Development Head

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Division – Business Development (PHARMACEUTICAL) to lead our efforts in identifying, developing, and executing new product ideas that will shape the future of our pharmaceutical portfolio. This role will involve driving innovation, exploring new market opportunities, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and regulatory affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the business development division to identify, evaluate, and develop new pharmaceutical products, from early-stage ideation to commercialization.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to assess the scientific feasibility and market potential of new drug concepts and therapies.
- Drive the market analysis to uncover unmet medical needs and trends in the pharmaceutical industry, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term growth strategy.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with external stakeholders, including research institutions, biotech companies, and industry influencers, to foster new business opportunities.
- Lead negotiations for strategic alliances, partnerships, and licensing agreements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a high-performing business development team.
- Manage the product pipeline and prioritize initiatives based on potential impact and alignment with company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Medicine, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field (MBA or M.M degree preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, strategic planning within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in developing and commercializing new pharmaceutical products.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market landscape, including regulatory, manufacturing, and marketing processes.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a focus on long-term growth and innovation.
