About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our dynamic team at PT Interpak Industries Batam, a leading manufacturing company in Batam Kota, Riau Islands. As Production Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our production operations and ensuring we deliver high-quality products efficiently and effectively. This is a full-time position based in our Batam Kota facility.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet sales targets and customer requirements
  2. Manage and coordinate all production activities, including capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory control
  3. Monitor and optimise production processes to ensure consistent quality, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness
  4. Identify and resolve production issues, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies to improve overall productivity
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement
  6. Oversee the training and development of production staff to enhance their skills and foster a culture of continuous learning
  7. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on production metrics
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality regulations and standards

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management or operations management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry (packaging).
  2. Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control principles
  3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills to optimise production processes
  4. Proven track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve production targets
  5. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
  7. Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools
  8. Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
