Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop production schedules based on demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Allocate resources (machinery, manpower, materials).

2. Operational Management

  • Oversee daily production activities.
  • Ensure production targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met.
  • Minimize downtime and resolve operational issues quickly.

3. Quality Control

  • Implement and monitor quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams.
  • Identify and correct quality issues in real time.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

  • Manage production budgets.
  • Optimize resource usage to reduce costs.
  • Identify areas for cost savings without compromising quality.

5. Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise production staff and line workers.
  • Train and develop team members.
  • Promote a safe, motivated, and productive work environment.

6. Health & Safety Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Ensure the workplace meets all occupational health standards.

7. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Monitor raw material levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams.
  • Avoid material shortages or overstock situations.

8. Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Implement automation or technology upgrades when beneficial.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

9. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of production metrics.
  • Report to upper management with progress and challenges.
  • Analyze performance data to inform decisions.

10. Coordination Across Departments

  • Liaise with quality, and logistics teams.
  • Ensure smooth interdepartmental communication and collaboration.
