As a 
Proposal Engineer
, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals for electrical panel, automation, and power system projects. This role is critical in supporting tender processes, technical evaluations, and cross-department coordination to deliver high-quality proposals to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare 
    technical and commercial proposals
     for electrical panels, switchgear, automation systems, and data center projects.
  • Review and analyze 
    tender documents
    , drawings, technical specifications, and scope of work.
  • Perform 
    material take-off, cost estimation, and BOQ (Bill of Quantity)
     preparation.
  • Coordinate with 
    Sales, Engineering, Procurement
    , and vendors to collect accurate technical data and pricing.
  • Identify suitable 
    products, components, and technical solutions
     based on customer requirements.
  • Prepare or review 
    single-line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams
    , and technical documents when needed.
  • Support 
    technical clarifications, pre-bid meetings, and client discussions
     during the tender process.
  • Ensure proposals are submitted 
    accurately, clearly, and on schedule
    .
  • Maintain updated databases of material pricing, vendor lists, and technical references.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
    .
  2. 2–5 years of experience
     as a Proposal Engineer / Estimator in 
    electrical panel, automation, or power system industry
     (preferred).
  3. Strong knowledge of 
    LV/MV panels, MCC, switchgear, motor control, and automation systems
    .
  4. Ability to interpret 
    technical drawings, SLD, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
    .
  5. Proficient in 
    AutoCAD / E-Plan
     and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  6. Strong analytical thinking and cost estimation skills.
  7. Detail-oriented, structured, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  8. Excellent communication and ability to coordinate across departments and with vendors.
