Based in Jakarta, this role is expected to lead and drive the sales team to achieve the company's sales, distribution and profit objectives in Indonesia through the effective development and execution of sales, trade marketing and business strategies.

Job Description

  • Develop annual sales plan, setting channel-specific goals and strategies including Modern Trade, General Trade, Foodservice and E-Commerce.
  • Supervise the implementation of approved plans and recommend adjustments when necessary to achieve the business objectives.
  • Execute brand plans by collaborating closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing team to ensure strategies are effectively implemented across all channels.
  • Responsible in activities related to inventory, distribution, Advertising & Promotion spending and executing new product launches.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement an effective Route-to-Market strategy and distribution model
  • Partner with distributors, building competencies and leveraging capabilities to support the business's growth plan.
  • Manage distributor agreements, commission and rebate structures, and performance standards.
  • Lead and develop the distributor network to ensure efficiency, compliance and alignment with the company values.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with distributors, trade associations, customers and government authorities.
  • Develop and coach team members to ensure operational excellence and alignment with the company values.

Job Specification

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Studies, Marketing or a related field; a Master's Degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in FMCG sales and marketing, with strong exposure to General Trade, and familiarity with Modern Trade and Food Service channels.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership position (Head of Sales / National Sales Manager).
  • Proven experience in Distributor Management, Territory Management, People Leadership and Project Execution.
  • Excellent presentation skills and good command of English.
  • Results-driven, strategic, and self-motivated with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Prepare to travel extensively for business purposes.
