**Job Summary**
Sales Specialist supports the Sales Manager and the Manager, Local Business Line in day-to-day business with the aim to be developed into the role of a Sales Manager. Promote and sales consumables business products to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories and overall business objectives.

**General Responsibilities**
- Promote and doing sales activities for consumables business in respective segment/area.
- Support the (Senior) Sales Manager and Manager, Local Business Line in managing day-to-day business
- To achieve annual sales targets for the territory
- To accurately and consistently maintain records (in a timely fashion) for assigned opportunities, including forecast information.
- To develop and maintain a good level of product knowledge for the consumable’s products.
- To organize marketing activities for the customers in collaboration with internal and external parties
- Prepare forecasts, market reports as well as regular competitor and market surveys
- Provide administrative support to the sales team (e.g. preparing presentations)
- Responsible for own projects (organize a customer event, sales of new products, work on improvements within the area of responsibility)
- Support Specialist, Sales Support activities (e.g. order taking and submission, shipment and tracking)
- Optional: Profit and loss responsibility for the assigned area of responsibility (products or territory mostly for C and D customers) including budget and result accountability

**Functional Skills and Knowledge**
- Fluent in the local language and English
- Minimum education in degree level in the field of science (physics, chemistry, pharmacy, microbiology, biotechnology)
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the industry/market/competitors/customers
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned products/services/systems and an existing network of contacts
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken

**Education**
Minimum education in degree level in the field of science (physics, chemistry, pharmacy, microbiology, biotechnology)
