Startup Account Manager, Indonesia

7+ years of technology experience with a focus on sales (quota-carrying) with a proven track record and quota attainment
- Deep understanding of Indonesia market, culture nuances and local network
- Experience in working with Startups in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals.
- Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer’s business / Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Functioned in an environment where they managed an account list in technology which included large growth in net new opportunities
Join the dynamic AWS ASEAN startup team and work directly with the top startups and venture capitalists (VC) in the region. You will spend your days interfacing with global startup organisation leadership teams, and navigating cross-AWS and Amazon to enable startups to realise outsized success. Our Startup team is comprised of ex founders, investors and startup operators with deep ecosystem network, and enjoys working with and supporting the next generation of startup entrepreneurs.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive growth and market share in a defined territory
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.
- Accelerate customer adoption by engaging Founders, CXO, Board of Directors and VC influencers
- Work with AWS partners to manage joint selling opportunities
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
- Drive customer success with all stage of startups in Indonesia

- BA/BS/B.Tech degree required. Masters or MBA is a plus.
- Understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) is preferred.
- Direct sales experience with Indonesia based customers.
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
