About the role

Gateway is seeking an experienced and passionate Main Teacher to join our thriving daycare centre in South Jakarta. This full-time position is responsible for leading and guiding a team of early childhood educators in providing exceptional care and educational experiences for our young students.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that foster children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Supervising and mentoring a team of Assistant Teachers to ensure high-quality instruction and a nurturing classroom environment
  • Collaborating with parents to understand each child's unique needs and support their growth and development
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including lesson plans, attendance, and student assessments
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging learning space that meets all regulatory requirements
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching practices

What we're looking for

  • Graduated from a reputable university  with at least a Bachelor's Degree, preferably Master Degree 

    in Preschool Education or Psychology.
  • Minimum two (5) years experience as a Preschool Teacher.
  • Excellent proficiency in English both oral and written is a MUST for all applicants.
  • Familiar with Google Workspace.
  • Passionate about teaching and education, has the willingness to improve and learn continuously.
  • Possess a strong classroom management skill, solid understanding of classroom activities and teaching best practices.
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a multi-cultural educational environment.
