About the role

Yayasan Bina Kreativitas Montessori is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced International Teacher to join our dynamic team in Jakarta. As an International Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality Montessori-based education to our students, fostering their intellectual, social, and emotional development. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant and supportive environment, with a focus on nurturing creativity and cultivating a love of learning.

What you'll be doing

  1. Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Montessori-inspired lessons and activities for students
  2. Establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and independent learning
  3. Observing and assessing student progress, providing regular feedback, and collaborating with parents and colleagues to support each child's development
  4. Participating in curriculum development, staff training, and other school-wide initiatives to continuously improve the educational experience
  5. Maintaining detailed records and documentation in accordance with school policies and regulations
  6. Fostering a love of learning and a sense of wonder in the children through hands-on, experiential activities
  7. Can create project activities related to subjects or activities according to calender academic

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in a primary school setting, preferably with Cambridge education training or certification
  2. Have organized and held Cambridge Checkpoint for grade 6 Primary department
  3. Able to teach Cambridge main subject like mathematics, science and english
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  5. Strong organisational and classroom management skills, with a proven ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment
  6. Adaptability and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team
  7. Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to teach in both languages
  8. A passion for child-centred learning and a commitment to the Montessori educational philosophy
