The Finance & Accounting Executive is responsible for performing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and supporting overall financial management within the hospitality environment. This role ensures accuracy in financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and timely preparation of reports to support business decisions.

The position requires attention to detail, good understanding of hospitality accounting processes, and coordination with various departments to ensure smooth financial operations and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations:

  1. Handle daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventories and general ledger entries.
  2. Record and reconcile all financial transactions in accordance with company policies and hospitality standards.
  3. Verify supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and purchase orders before processing.
  4. Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  5. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  1. Prepare monthly financial statements, cash flow reports, and variance analysis.
  2. Support the Finance Manager in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  3. Assist in monitoring revenues, costs, and profitability.
  4. Provide data and analysis in relation to management review and decision.

Cash & Bank Management:

  1. Manage daily cash collections, deposits, and petty cash reconciliation.
  2. Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  3. Track payments, due dates, and ensure timely settlement of vendor invoices.
  4. Monitor and reconcile all revenue related transactions. (AR, OTA, CC, etc.)

Compliance & Audit:

  1. Ensure adherence to company financial policies, GAAP/IFRS/USALI standards, and internal controls.
  2. Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  3. Support tax compliance by providing relevant data for monthly and annual tax reporting. (Article 21, 23, 4(2), 26, 25, PPN JLN).
  4. Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial records.

Coordination & Support:

  1. Liaise with procurement, HR, and operations teams regarding expense verification, cost allocation, and budget monitoring.
  2. Support management in developing cost-control initiatives.
  3. Maintain a well-organized filing system for financial documents and reports.
