Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia, an executive recruitment company, is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical trading company in Indonesia. As part of their business expansion, our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Executive to manage and grow the food ingredients division. The position will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop existing customer accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities within the food industry segment.
  • Promote and sell raw materials and ingredients for food applications, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and current market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical and formulation teams to provide product recommendations, application trials, and technical support.
  • Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and industry movements to identify potential growth areas and drive sales performance.
  • Achieve sales targets and profitability goals through strategic sales planning and effective execution.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support sustainable business growth.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to support management decisions and strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or other related fields from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 3–7 years of working experience in the chemical or raw material ingredients industry, specifically handling the food segment (experience in fragrance ingredients for food is an advantage).
  • Proven track record in sales and business development, with solid understanding of food formulations and applications.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders.
  • Proactive, target-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Willing to travel as required.
