Overview

The Employee Relations (ER) role is responsible for maintaining a healthy, fair, and legally compliant relationship between the company and its employees. This position ensures that employee issues are handled promptly, professionally, and aligned with company policies and Indonesian labor regulations.

Key Responsibilities1. Employee Issues & Complaint Handling

  • Receive, document, and resolve employee complaints objectively and confidentially.
  • Conduct internal investigations related to misconduct, disciplinary issues, or workplace conflicts.
  • Provide recommendations for corrective action (coaching, warnings, or other disciplinary measures) based on investigation findings.

2. Labor Compliance & Industrial Relations

  • Ensure all HR policies comply with Indonesian labor laws, government regulations, and company standards.
  • Support the drafting and review of company regulations, SOPs, and HR policies.
  • Act as a liaison with external labor authorities (e.g., Disnaker) when required.

3. Employee Engagement & Communication

  • Support the HR Manager in designing engagement programs and strengthening BSH's workplace culture.
  • Facilitate two-way communication between management and employees.
  • Prepare internal communication materials (announcements, disciplinary reminders, policy updates, etc.).

4. Disciplinary Administration

  • Create and maintain documentation such as warning letters (SP1/SP2/SP3), investigation reports, and ER records.
  • Ensure disciplinary processes are fair, consistent, and well-documented.
  • Monitor employee probation periods and remind managers about evaluation deadlines.

5. Investigation & Reporting

  • Conduct field investigations regarding performance, attendance, or behavioral issues.
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly ER reports summarizing case trends, findings, and recommendations.
  • Provide insights to prevent recurring issues (preventive ER).

6. Mediation & Conflict Resolution

  • Mediate conflicts between employees or between employees and their supervisors.
  • Serve as a neutral party to help resolve issues with a fair, human-centered approach.

7. Exit Process & Termination Support

  • Assist in handling termination processes in compliance with Indonesian labor laws and company policy.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze findings to understand turnover patterns.
  • Ensure all termination documents are complete and legally compliant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Law, Psychology, or Human Resources preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian labor laws and industrial relations.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HR or Employee Relations.
  • Strong communication, investigation, negotiation, and documentation skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • High integrity with a balance of firmness and empathy.
