  • Should be good in Sourcing Connections, Deal Signing n Deal Staffing, Due diligence Documentations, Deal Designing, Financial Modelling, Deal Scouting, Deal Sourcing

  • JOB SUMMARY

This role is an integral part of the Corporate Venture Fund and its operations. The incumbent will work

very closely with the Managing Partner in various areas of running the fund including origination, filtration,

analysis and diligence, process of investing and portfolio operations. She/he will get a strong exposure

of the VC / start-up space while working in a large corporation.

This role requires extensive travel within the SE Asia region.

  1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Origination - Doing origination through multiple channels to help identify new investments, trends and

opportunities - Deal screening: call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate opportunities - Network with others in Venture Capital Firms - Keep a deal pipeline and present internally to the decision makers

Perform Due Diligence - Commercial, financial, legal with internal / external support - Gather necessary information from the target company and industry experts - Research and talk to existing references and customers of the target company - Research potential competitors to the target company - Conduct background checks on the current management of the target company - Perform valuation analysis via established methods - Prepare internal investment memos

Agreement and Documentation

Monitor / Manage portfolio companies - Manage portfolio company reporting, oversight, and operations

Work with portfolio management teams to help them in various aspects as well as value-add to

them

Coordinate investor reporting and fundraising report

Market research and market intelligence

  1. ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Desired Experience

Total experience band of not more than 8 years with VC experience of

min 4+ years, in non-tech sectors

Regional exp mandatory (SE Asia)

Desired Qualification

CA or CFA or MBA (Finance ) or ACCA or equivalent

• Strong Analytical and financial abilities


• In depth knowledge of, including nuances of early stage VC ecosystem (region)


• Has experience of direct investing in start-ups and understanding of the processes


• Good understanding of market & competitive land scape and enjoys good relations / network in

the region


• Experience of analysis of new business / ventures


• Exposure to regulatory aspects of multi countries in the region
