About the Company

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our partner's client, a global logistic and freight forwarding company.

The Assistant Sales Manager will lead business development efforts to grow the company's ocean freight customer portfolio. The role focuses on direct selling, client acquisition, and key account management, targeting both local and multinational companies that require international freight forwarding and 3PL logistics solutions.

This is a strategic commercial position that requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong market awareness, and the ability to build profitable, long-term customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and acquire new customers for ocean freight and 3PL services.
  • Develop tailored logistics proposals, solutions, and pricing strategies based on client needs.
  • Prepare and manage tenders, quotations, and commercial negotiations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate with internal operations and pricing teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Monitor market movements, competitor activity, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
Candidate Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales functions.
  • At least 3 years of direct B2B sales experience in freight forwarding, ocean freight, or 3PL.
  • Proven history of achieving sales targets and managing corporate client portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of freight pricing, routing strategies, and logistics solutions.

Technical Expertise

  • Solid knowledge of freight forwarding and 3PL operations, especially ocean cargo.
  • Hands-on experience in tender management, pricing simulations, and solution design.

Language Skills

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Business-level Mandarin proficiency.

Professional Qualities

  • High initiative, results-driven, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
