We are looking for a Business Development Manager (Contract) to help Boring AI establish real customer traction and execute business strategy on the ground. This role works directly with the CEO and plays a critical role in converting product vision into revenue and partnerships.
Role Overview
This is a hands-on business execution role for someone with
proven startup experience
. You will be responsible for helping Boring AI settle down with customers, validating the business model, and supporting business plan development under direct guidance from the CEO.
This role requires
physical presence in Surabaya (hybrid)
and close collaboration with the founding team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive customer acquisition and partnerships for Boring AI in Indonesia
- Engage potential clients, understand their business needs, and convert discussions into pilots, PoCs, or paid contracts
- Work closely with the CEO to execute go-to-market and business strategy
- Contribute to business plan development, pricing strategy, and commercial positioning
- Translate customer feedback into actionable input for product and engineering teams
- Prepare business materials including proposals, partnership documents, and pitch decks
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a
startup environment
as part of a business, growth, or partnerships team - Demonstrable achievements
in business development (e.g. closed deals, revenue growth, partnerships, market expansion) - Strong ability to build and manage B2B relationships
- Comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-changing environment
- Able to take strategic direction from the CEO and execute independently
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Interest or background in AI, SaaS, or B2B technology is a strong plus
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work model based in Surabaya
- No relocation support
(candidates must already be based in Surabaya or willing to self-relocate)
