Sales Executive

The Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the freight forwarding and logistics industry (sea freight, air freight, customs clearance, trucking, warehousing). This role focuses on achieving sales targets and delivering tailored logistics solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Identify and acquire new customers in export, import, and domestic logistics segments.
- Understand client needs and propose suitable freight forwarding and logistics solutions.
- Conduct canvassing, cold calling, and client visits to expand market reach.
- Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Prepare and present quotations for sea freight, air freight, trucking, warehousing, and customs clearance services.
- Handle negotiations and follow through until closing.
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, trucking, and finance teams to ensure smooth shipment processes.
- Ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and executed by internal teams.
- Address issues or claims related to shipments when necessary.
- Provide sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to the Sales Manager.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets related to revenue, shipment volume, and customer acquisition.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM tools.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales (sea freight, air freight, trucking).
- Strong understanding of export–import processes, Incoterms, shipping documentation, and routing.
- Established network with exporters, importers, or manufacturing companies is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Target-driven and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
