Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Relationship Manager with a strong background in fintech or banking to manage and grow our client portfolio. This role focuses on understanding financial products, digital financial services, and regulatory considerations while providing tailored solutions to customers. The RM will build long-term relationships, drive business growth, and ensure a seamless customer experience across onboarding, transactions, and ongoing account management.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients within the financial or fintech ecosystem.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to accounts, digital products, and financial services.
  • Conduct regular reviews to understand client needs, usage patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify opportunities to expand wallet share through cross-selling or upselling relevant fintech/banking products.
  • Acquire new clients within targeted segments (retail, SME, enterprise, or strategic partners).
  • Stay updated on digital finance trends, competitive landscape, and customer behavior.

Account Management & Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding including KYC/KYB, documentation, and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, fraud/risk, and compliance teams to resolve issues and improve service quality.
  • Monitor client transactions, performance metrics, and service-level adherence.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all client activities and documentation comply with internal policies and relevant fintech/banking regulations.
  • Identify early warning signs of risk, fraud, or unusual account behavior and escalate accordingly.
  • Support audits and regulatory reporting when required.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare periodic reports on client performance, revenue contribution, and growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate data on CRM or internal systems and provide insights to management or product teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a Relationship Manager, Account Manager, or Client Success role within fintech, banking, payments, lending, or digital finance.
  • Strong understanding of financial products such as payments, lending, e-money, deposits, remittance, or digital onboarding.
  • Familiarity with KYC/KYB, AML, and regulatory requirements in financial services.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to lead client discussions professionally.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data to assess performance and identify opportunities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with product, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
  • Proactive, target-driven, and able to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment.
