Hanwha Life Insurance, a most rapid growth Korea Life Insurance in Indonesia is now looking for Head of Legal and Compliance & Corporate Secretary (Manager Level). The position requires the talent to possess requirement as follows:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor (S1) or Master (S2) Degree in Law
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in the field of Law at managerial level
  • Fluent in English both oral and written in professional level
  • Able to work and leading a team
  • Have knowledge in the field of law, able to proceed outside and inside court
  • Have knowledge about life and health insurance products
  • Have knowledge of life and health insurance business processes
  • Having Advocate (Bar) License Qualified Chief Risk Officer (QCRO)

Job Description:

  • Determining policies and strategies related to the Company's legal issues including but not limited to making legal contracts with partner banks and/or vendors, providing legal opinions, coordinating related to providing legal assistance for company issues both inside and outside the court, carrying out review of company products and services in coordination with regulators, as well as other legal assistance for the company's interests.
  • Determine policies and strategies related to company compliance issues, ensure that company reporting is implemented properly within the specified deadlines, ensure that company operational activities including but not limited to the insurance product marketing process are in accordance with applicable provisions and/or regulations from both the industry side as well as from a regulatory perspective.
  • Determine policies and strategies related to corporate secretary, ensure that the company implements the principles of good corporate governance in accordance with applicable regulations, ensure that meetings of the Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, Company Shareholders are implemented in accordance with applicable regulatory provisions.
  • To deliver and provide good handling on Company's legal issues, such as in doing research and preparing Legal Opinion or providing legal advices to user.
  • To prepare analysis from legal perspective and assessment on Company's legal interest required by the Head of Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Secretary Department in providing and delivering adequate legal advices on any emerging cases.
