Associate Business Manager

About the Role:
The Associate Business Manager is responsible for driving both operational excellence and commercial growth across all BUUMI outlets. This role acts as the central engine of the business, ensuring every location operates efficiently, delivers exceptional customer experiences, and achieves sustainable financial performance. They monitor sales, customer experience, and operational standards, while coordinating with outlet managers to solve issues quickly. They also handle budgeting, financial review, performance tracking, and cost-control strategies to maintain healthy profitability across the business.
This is a cross-functional leadership role that works closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Program/ECS to support BUUMI's long-term growth. They drive growth initiatives, support expansion plans, and ensure that all marketing and promotional activities are executed effectively at the outlet level. The role also includes reporting business performance, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Operations & Performance
- Oversee daily performance and operational execution across all playground outlets.
- Ensure consistent delivery of BUUMI's service standards, customer experience, and safety protocols.
- Monitor staffing, workflow efficiency, scheduling, and outlet readiness.
- Track outlet KPIs including admission trends, conversion, occupancy, and productivity.
- Conduct regular site visits, performance coaching, and quality audits.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of outlets.
- Review P&L reports and recommend actions to improve profitability.
- Implement efficiency improvements, standardization, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, revenue tracking, and performance insights.
Strategic Growth and Business Development
- Lead BUUMI's commercial programs including bulk ticketing, B2B partnerships, corporate packages, and institutional sales.
- Manage OTA and ecommerce promotion strategies to increase trial and conversion.
- Drive non-event partnerships with hotels, restaurants, corporates, schools, and other partners.
- Develop tailored offers, bundles, and loyalty initiatives for partners.
- Manage and grow on-site advertising inventory, brand activations, and sponsored placements.
Market Development & Sales Pipeline
- Identify new business opportunities and build long-term strategic relationships.
- Track sales pipeline, commercial forecasts, and partnership performance.
- Present market insights, pricing strategies, and revenue optimization plans to leadership.
Customer Experience & Brand Execution
- Collaborate with Operations & Marketing to enhance the full customer journey, online and offline.
- Ensure commercial deals and promotional activities translate smoothly into outlet operations.
- Support service improvement initiatives, customer feedback loops, and quality programs.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the bridge between outlets and HQ departments (Marketing, Finance, HR, Program/ECS).
- Ensure alignment between operational execution and commercial objectives.
- Lead business performance reviews and prepare reporting for the leadership team.
Attribute:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in hospitality, retail operations, or commercial management.
- Strong leadership capability with experience managing multi-unit teams (preferred).
- Proven track record in B2B sales, partnerships, business development, or revenue management.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with budgeting, P&L, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Experience with digital business tools, CRM systems, and OTA platforms is an advantage.
- Experience in children's education, recreation, or family services is a bonus.
