PT Sumber Migas Nusantara (KSO Pertamina EP) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drilling & Workover Engineer to support our oil and gas operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing drilling and workover activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design drilling and workover programs, including well design, casing, cementing, and completion plans.
  • Monitor daily drilling and workover operations, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with rig contractors, service companies, and field teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate drilling and workover performance data to identify areas for technical and cost improvement.
  • Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and operational summaries for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) regulations and industry best practices.
  • Provide engineering support during well interventions, troubleshooting, and equipment selection.
  • Participate in risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or a related discipline).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in drilling and workover operations within the oil & gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of drilling fluids, well control, and rig operations.
  • Familiar with API, ASME, and HSE standards related to drilling and well intervention.
  • Proficiency in drilling engineering software such as WellPlan, Landmark, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in remote field locations and under pressure.
