**Job Description - New Channel Development Manager**

The New Channel Development Manager is responsible for providing segment
- and industry-specific strategies, plans, and execution roadmaps for Corporate, Government and Group Booking channels using fact-based analyses from market & competitive research, available data, and experience with communication or outreach modes/channels / go-to-market tactics.

The New Channel Development Manager will work collaboratively to strengthen AirAsia's brand image and customer advocacy, promote AirAsia’s culture within the organization, ensure transparency and promote good governance. Develop talents and strengthen staff capability; ensure all staff receives appropriate training.

**Here’s what an ordinary day looks like**:
**You will**:

- Ensuring target achievement Sales periodically
- Develop business and sales plans and carry out formal monthly reviews
- Define and execute Sales strategies to develop and protect the market position
- Initiate, gather data, interpret and make recommendations in order to deliver growth in line with the corporate plan
- Secure continued growth through a combination of managing existing and securing additional accounts/channels
- Identify and implement creative/alternative channels where opportunity exists
- Monitor and develop a strategic plan on industry developments and competitor activity in the territory to identify further commercial opportunities
- Maintain an understanding of governmental and regulatory issues that can impact the business in the territory

- Maintain relation with all Corporate, Government, Tourism Board, and other business partner that have the potential to generate sales
- Develop annual plans and budget developments for sub-department to align with department-wide’s strategy including ensuring budget adherence to the approved budget
- Lead SOPs development and amendment to ensure all SOPs align with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Track operating progress and result against annual plan and KPIs to ensure targets are met; develop action plans as needed
- Lead the identification of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives

**You have**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales & Distribution in Airlines Industry
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales & Distribution Managerial in other industry
- Self-motivated, good logical thinking and analytical strength in dealing with new exposure
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends and develop action plans
- Strong command in English - written and verbal
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence upward, downward and laterally across the organization and geographic boundaries
- Agile, self-motivated, well organized and energetic in driving change management
- Ability to think strategically, demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Expert in Excel/Google Sheet, Power Point/Google Slides, Word/Google Doc
- Frequent travelling is required
