Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries. Application areas include rock drilling, rock cutting, crushing and screening, loading and hauling, tunneling, quarrying and breaking and demolition.

Job Summary

The role is overseeing employment policies and procedures, HR Administration, employment relations, recruitment, and onboarding, and developing training and development programs for all employees. Along with administering employee-benefit programs, the HR Manager role involves overseeing payroll as well as managing workplace safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
- You are required to conduct yourself in accordance with our EHS Vision to achieve Zero Harm to our people, the environment we work in, our customers and our suppliers.
- Support EHS functions within the territory and Sales Area.

Business Growth and Development
- Proactively giving HR advice to line managers and the management team as required.
- Support managers in the process of engaging employees around vision, strategy, objectives and values to ensure that all employees are clear on their contribution to the overall business objectives.

Operations/Processes
- Overseeing HR Services and ensure all HR work is handled according to the Sandvik core values and Code of Conduct
- Modify and update all HR policies and procedures
- Manage industrial relations matters, agreements and conditions of employment as well as all trade union negotiations where applicable.
- Coordinating and supporting the recruitment and onboarding process
- Determining suitable salaries and remuneration aligned with global Compensation and Benefits
- Providing the necessary support systems for payroll requirements
- Developing adequate induction and training
- Managing succession planning of staff
- Assisting with the performance management and review process
- Assisting with the Talent process
- Proactively initiate change and support managers in other change initiatives
- Ensure that Sandvik is working in compliance with policies, country specific legislation, and local agreements in the HR area
- Assist in developing competence in the region and support the managers in their responsibilities
- Support corporate reporting and coordinate activities aligned with timely execution of reporting where required

People Management and Development
- Train others in how to use the provided tools and ensures that the managers accept and use them in a qualitative way
- Recruit, mentor, motivate, train, evaluate and lead team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of HR and the company.
- Assist in implementing competence development programs to secure talent for the medium and longer term.
- Assist managers to develop succession plans for their areas

Experience & Qualifications
- BSc in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or similar in relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years local HR experience
- A understanding of the mining industry and its business processes
- Female is advantage

- Strong initiative, problem solving skills
- Strong collaboration with the demonstrated ability to develop business partnerships with all levels and in geographically dispersed locations
- Strong organizational, influencing, and interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective support and rapport across the organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management and effective in dealing with resistance and managing conflicts
- Experience working in a fluid and changing environment
- Solid understanding of Indonesian employment legislation
- Experience using Human Resources Management Systems (Workday desirable)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good Excel, Pivot or even Power BI skills
- Ability to travel
