**_Responsibilities:_**

**ORGANISATION**

1. Provide effective supervision of daily operations of QA department and ensure the quality policy is maintained.

2. Review and control of inspection expenses, including budget planning, and organize resources for running the QA department.

3. Plan and Schedule all inspections and provide the weekly work plan of each inspector to the Merchandising team. Also work on forward planning for monthly schedule.

4. Review QA staff daily activities including inspection, by undertaking random field audit where inspection are being performed and providing reports and feedback to the Management.

5. Train and guide QA staff on inspection process and ensure they are using the correct process/tools of inspection.

6. Administrative control of QA staff.

**SOURCING**

7. Understanding client requirements in terms of product and factory and working in close coordination with the Merchandising team.

8. Reviewing and updating profiles for existing and prospective vendor/ factory to confirm that these accurately reflect resource capability and compliance with Supplier Compliance Manual.

9. Work on the technical aspects of the product - like appropriate raw material, process of construction, suitable finishes etc., so that the product is sampled within the target prices and is compatible to large scale production without any potential quality issues.

10. Work closely with the Merchandising team on product selection and factory selection.

**PRODUCTION**

11. Coordinate with merchandising team for new product order placement, ensure inspection file is completed and Pre-Production meeting is well conducted. Attend PPM’s and provide the information to QA staff.

12. Walk the factory production line during and after PPM to ensure that proper process of production is being followed. The objective is to prevent latent defects or Final Inspection failure.

13. Verify vendors have performed 100% inspection by examining their procedures and inspection reports.

14. Supervise pre-production, in-line and final inspections to ensure it is conducted by QA staff as Client requirements and are being carried out using signed off approval sample, surface moisture meter and that correct reports are submitted.

15. Highlight areas of concern with vendors’ production and request for technical support factory personnel as required.

16. Review failed inspection with head of merchandising to identify problems affecting the quality of merchandise and make disposition for re-inspection to ensure that quality standards are met.

17. Check upon corrective action plan (CAP) implementation and report to merchandising team.

**REPORTING**

18. Liaise with Merchandising team as required on production status and report immediately any and all delays.

19. Monitor, identify and record issues of vendor quality performance and provide solutions to any non-conformities relating to the inspection service and quality system.

20. Review QA staff Inspection Reports on a daily basis before to submit them to the Merchandising team.

21. Maintain regular contact with Clients to ensure that there is continuous feedback about the quality of products supplied (claims) and when required explain quality issues and corrective action plan.

22. Update quality records and client’s requirements database.

**_Requirements:_**
- Minimum of 8-years’ experience in a similar position in the wood furniture manufacturing industry.
- University graduated.
- At least 4 years’ experience at supervisory/managerial level in Quality Assurance.
- Strong product knowledge in furniture products.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken),
- Computer literate is a must (MS Office, Access, Photoshop, AutoCAD ),
- Willing to travel frequently.
- Exhibit effective communication skills and have the ability to interact with others
- Driving license (SIM C) and motorbike is a must.
- He/She must have skills in several aspects not only for wooden constructions but also in rattan, aluminum, iron. He/she must understand the production layout, production machinery, finishing process, factory management and any relative points of factory organization, tools, procedure standard and local value.
- He/She must be able to make any documents for inspections in any stages following requirements from Company or special request from clients based on solid standards of inspections: ISO, AQL, pieces by piece, Kaizen or others.
- He/She must able to make, read and understand CAD drawing from Factory R&D dept. or designer.
- He/She must have leadership attitude, good communication skill, eager to learn every day and have a taste of the products.
- He/She represents the Quality Standard and Values of the company and has respect from vendors based on their skill in this business, knowledge, advices and support to vendors.
- He/She must have discipline only follow the SOP.
- He/She must be able to organize the inspection plan in perfect time and efficient
