**Director
- Business Unit**

**Overall, Purpose/Roles**:
Provide overall business directions and leadership in a product franchise based on franchise goals. They are expected to develop marketing strategies for the product franchise team and ensure effective implementation of these strategies in the field. They should be the mobilizing force that will integrate both marketing and sales initiatives to achieve optimum results. They also serve as the link between their team and the available resources within the organization to support the achievement of business goals and objectives they have set for their team. They are also responsible for the ongoing development and motivation of their team and in aligning them to our core values.

**Specific Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Provide overall business strategy and direction for the product franchise.**

Accountabilities for P&L Delivery of committed targets for the franchise Analyzing business opportunities present in the market for the product franchise, capitalizing these opportunities to grow the franchise Getting involved in the formulation of the BU’s long-range and integrated operations planning Setting broad directions for marketing programs and salesforce implementation of these programs Setting the medium & long term strategy for success business performance in public (NIP) & private

IN ORDER TO ensure crafting of a business strategy for a specific product franchise, based on the BU’s business targets, and to the effective deployment of this strategy in the field.

**Ensure optimum allocation and utilization of resources**

Monitoring the product franchise’s expenditures versus budget; approves planned franchise expenses Analyzing sales and market share data at the franchise unit level to develop plans that will maximize sales Making recommendations for adequate resourcing of major marketing programs and core initiatives Ensuring return on investment.

IN ORDER TO analyze and plan of resource requirements. Negotiates and agrees budget and manages expenditure against it.

**Improve and align the performance of individuals and teams.**

IN ORDER TO ensure that the activity and performance of staff are aligned with the organizations and department’s objectives. Develop employee’s capability and competence, evaluate performance, and create an environment conducive to performance optimization.

**Drive the implementation of market, product and service strategy.**

Ensuring alignment of all field force promotional activities with marketing strategies Monitoring the high-level implementation and effectiveness of promotional activities Ensuring that marketing programs are responsive to customer needs and the changing market landscape Tailoring implementation of programs to seize identified opportunities and to address needs.

IN ORDER TO, drive the implementation of the product/market strategy including associated campaigns, monitor, review and revise implementation effectiveness

**Lead the development of marketing strategies for the franchise.**

Analyzing the marketplace and identifying opportunities and potential for the franchise Using the data to develop broad marketing directions and strategies for the franchise and for the different products Acquiring the necessary resources to implement these strategies Leading digital marketing & consumer activation for the franchise.

IN ORDER TO, take the lead in developing high-level marketing strategies for the entire franchise, oversee the development of marketing programs for the different products included in the franchise

**QUALIFICATION & SKILLS**

**Education Level**:
**Experience**:
At least 5-7 years Sales and Marketing experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry Strong strategic mindset Strong people management & planning skills Growth Mindset: Positive attitude and strong Sales and Marketing achievement Result Driven Strong customer focus and proven team and relationship building skills Experience in Oncology business, develop strategy approach for patient access Digital Marketing & Consumer activation experience is preferable
