We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Undergraduate to join our Resource Industries (RI) team in Jakarta, Indonesia.

About the Position:

This role provides first on-the-job developmental work assignment to learn and develop your potential as a future Industry or Technical Representative. Throughout this internship, you will learn the value of Caterpillar machines, Technology and Services within typical mining operations in Indonesia.

This will be a 6 months Internship Programme, targeted to start in September 2024. Our office is located at JL. TB Simatupang, Ragunan, South Jakarta.

The primary responsibilities:

During your internship, you will learn and contribute to Southeast Asia mining division's objectives. There will be special emphasis on developing Maintenance Practices, Commercial and Product Support skills and associated tasks, assisting with project planning and associated deadline responsibility, as well as implementation and follow-up methods. You will also become increasingly familiar with the company's processes, systems and methodologies.

You will be provided with significant guidance and support from the Mining Region Manager and other team members.

Additional functions to the role include, but not limited to:

  • Assist in mine site assessments and similar site review studies
  • Assist in the resolution of mining equipment product problems
  • Assist Caterpillar Engineers on data analysis
  • Assist in commercial tasks
  • Assist in machine application that provide the best solution for a customer

Required Skill and Experience:

  • Applicants must be in their last year of a relevant engineering degree (such as Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial and Mining Engineering)
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0/4.0
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills to communicate with all levels of external and internal personnel
  • Proficient in MS office (such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Strong data analytics skills are highly desired
  • They will need to show the drive to work as part of a successful and engaged team
  • This role works with a variety of stakeholders, so effective communication and relationship building skills are also required
