Mutant is a weird name for an agency, we know. We’d love to tell you there’s a cool reason for it - like being exposed to gamma radiation or being bitten by a spider - but alas, our origin story is a little less dramatic.

**Are you the ONE we're looking for?**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced **Senior Manager/Director**, based in Jakarta, who will be responsible for driving new business and delivering client excellence across a portfolio of global and local brands. You are a natural born leader who is results-focused without taking themselves too seriously all at the same time.

You will be involved in business development and strategic PR related program planning. You will be responsible for overseeing and providing senior counsel on day-to-day client project management, ensuring deliverables are on budget and scheduled, while also managing and mentoring your team.

With a solid grasp of the local media landscape and key relationships, you confidently provide sound communications counsel to senior clients, bringing along an awesome personality to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a vibrant team

The role will report directly to the Country Manager, Indonesia.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You will support the overall growth, business development and manage the Indonesian office profitably (across the public relations and content, arms). This includes new business pipeline development, responding to briefs, organising brainstorms and developing proposals including cost estimates. You are a confident consultant - able to drive conversations at the C-suite client level.
- You will be the agency lead for strategic discussions and routine client/agency reviews, driving strategic planning of accounts internally and with clients, including organic growth.
- You are to set objectives for the PR team, monitor, empower and mentor your team to bring about growth and development; with a high retention rate
- You will support and be involved in client meetings to provide overall strategy and direction, helping to proactively suggest pivots where needed
- You are accountable for the Indonesia market’s overall performance and P&L
- You will manage and oversee the execution of marketing strategies and growth campaigns (working with the regional team) to build Mutant’s brand in Indonesia
- You will work closely with the regional team based in Singapore, as well as counterparts in Malaysia and Thailand.
- You should be Mutant Indonesia’s ambassador in the market, building thought leadership and professional relationships with clients and relevant media

**What you need to be successful in this role**:

- You have 8-10+ years experience in communications within the Indonesia market, preferably in an agency environment (public relations, integrated communications)
- You have a proven track record in managing and driving a profitable team, with P&L and budget experience
- You have the ability to lead a steady stream of new revenue and driven new business proposals and strategies with a high win-rate
- You possess excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- You have a solid understanding of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry within Indonesia
- You bring with you, experience managing senior clients and mentoring junior team members
