About the role

DL Public Relations is looking for an experienced PR Manager - Mandarin Speaker to join our dynamic team in Jakarta. This is a full-time role that will play a key part in delivering effective public relations campaigns and crisis management strategies for our diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as fluency in Mandarin and English.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to raise brand awareness and manage reputation for a range of clients
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing their expectations and delivering high-quality work on time and on budget
  3. Write compelling press releases, byline articles, speeches and other communications content
  4. Identify and pitch relevant media opportunities to secure coverage in print, online and broadcast media
  5. Provide expert counsel and crisis communications support as needed
  6. Monitor media coverage and social media discussions, providing regular insights and reports
  7. Collaborate with the wider marketing and social media teams to deliver integrated campaigns
  8. Mentor and guide more junior members of the PR team

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a PR agency or in-house PR role, with a strong track record of delivering successful campaigns
  2. Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  3. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts and influencers
  4. Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
  5. Sound understanding of the media landscape and evolving PR and communications trends
  6. Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field
