Responsible for the day-to-day datacenter automation projects and troubleshooting across the facility to include verifying efficient operation of systems and related equipment.
Will ensure the delivered Quality is up to the mark as per BDx work standard and deliverables.
Act as the representative and/or system owner for the Projects of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management System (BMS), Power management system (PMS), Critical Equipment Monitoring System (CEMS) and other project activity at site.
Direct, manage, supervise¸ including escort contractors at the working location and ensure that the contractors obtain all of the necessary licenses and permits along with necessary coordination.
Oversee the construction of projects and monitor activities at worksites, evaluate construction methods and determine the effectiveness of each plan include determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to constructions sites
Manage crews, ensure health and safety codes are observed, and that work is completed safely
Support Capital Projects and participate in project design reviews and project commissioning activities. Ensure the commissioning is as per the design requirement.
Gather daily progress report from all sites, summarize, and develop analysis for the achievement, obstacles, support required include way to expedite the completion with regard to safety and quality
Assist in the development of the Scope of Facilities (SOF), and ensure each project follows the client’s standards and practices and do necessary follow-ups with cross-functional team.
Review commissioning documentation for system additions, modifications and retrofits.
Coach workers and less skilled technicians on safety procedures related to building operations.
Working knowledge of building energy management systems. Has good understanding of data center efficiency & Controls; but not limited to BMS Control, Electrical system, pneumatic controls, mechanical Control systems, lighting controls, access control and backup emergency systems for
efficient functioning of Data centers, and not limited to field instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, and flow devices typically connected to an automation system.
Must be able to work flexible hours, travel between facilities and ready to work extended work hrs.
Ability to single handedly drive BMS project with Vendor, Consultant, and other 3rd party in sync with internal project team, D&C team & FMT.
Bachelor of Science in Automation, Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related fields preferred
A minimum of five (5) years as an Automation or Electrical or Instrumentation Project construction supervisor or equivalent in a relevant work environment, or a combination of education, military service, and/or practical work experience.
Experience with data center equipment/environments, including switch gears, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems, and an understanding of start-up /commissioning processes preferred is a advantage
Focus with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
Eye for details; and has done troubleshooting of Electrical and or BMS systems
Good and positive interpersonal skills including good verbal and written communication in English.
