The Senior Research Palm Analyst will form an integral part of the Asia Vegetable Oils research team responsible for maintaining and forecasting the palm oil supply and demand in Malaysia and Indonesia. The role will participate in the company’s economic research analysis effort which aims at leveraging and transforming the informational advantage into distinctive analysis and synthesis to manage risk around Bunge trading activities and asset management and facilitate informed decisions making.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Part of a local team supporting Bunge Asia research desk in estimating Palm oil supply and demand mainly for Indonesia and Malaysia. The role includes both desk and field analysis.
- Supervise Bunge palm crop survey effort in Malaysia and Indonesia, including safety, scheduling, planning, tour logistics, billing, people resources for the tour, etc.
- Coordinate and conduct regular crop surveys in Indonesia (every 4 months) and in Malaysia (every 3 months). Prepare collected crop tour data for analysis including data formatting and primary data exploration.
- Coordinate and conduct telephone surveys to collect data from plantations regarding their palm productivity.
- Responsible for keeping track of other information like weather, duty changes, policy decisions etc that shall impact Palm Supply and Demand.
- Responsible for managing and tracking Palm vessel line ups and coming up with internal weekly reports on shipments
- Communicate findings, outputs, and analytics timely with the Head of vegoil analytics and the palm analyst in Singapore, as well as the Asian vegoil commercial team.

**Job Requirement**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture with/without statistical analysis background.
- At least 5 years of work experience in either worked in Palm plantations or in Agri commodity research teams
- Comfortable travelling for crop tours and industry conferences.
- Able to read/write Bahasa and English. Good verbal communication skills in english is desired.
- Have a flair for forecasting and analysis work and good with excel capabilities.
- A good team player, reliable and thorough.
