About the role

We are seeking an experienced EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Assistant Manager to join our growing team at PT. Polygroup Manufaktur Indonesia, based in Kendal Regency, Central Java. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees as well as the environmental sustainability of our manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist the EHS Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring environmental, health and safety policies and programmes across the organisation
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and work with the team to implement corrective actions
  • Provide training and support to employees on EHS procedures and best practices
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, and ensure proper reporting and documentation
  • Collaborate with external regulatory bodies and ensure the company's compliance with all relevant EHS laws and regulations
  • Monitor and report on key EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Support the implementation of sustainable initiatives to reduce the company's environmental impact

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within the manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian EHS regulations and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address EHS risks
  • Proficient in using EHS management software and data analysis tools
  • Effective communication and training skills to engage with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous improvement
  • Relevant degree in Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related field
