About the role

Shape Haus', a leading design and construction firm in Bali, is seeking a talented Balinese MEP/HVAC engineer and drafter to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Klungkung District, Klungkung Bali. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and delivery of high-quality mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for our diverse range of projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Designing and drafting MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, for residential and commercial projects
  2. Collaborating with the design team to ensure MEP systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall project design
  3. Conducting site inspections and coordinating with contractors to ensure the successful installation of MEP systems
  4. Staying up to date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technologies related to MEP systems
  5. Providing technical support and advice to project managers and clients throughout the project lifecycle
  6. Mentoring and training junior engineers and drafters within the team

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and drafting MEP systems, preferably in the Balinese construction industry
  3. Proficient in using CAD software and other engineering design tools
  4. Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and standards related to MEP systems
  5. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  6. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with the design team and clients
  7. Passion for sustainable design and a commitment to delivering high-quality, energy-efficient solutions
