About the Role
Assist Financial Risk Management Lead in identifying, assessing, mitigating and monitoring the financial & insurance risk areas while ensuring the effective risk management implementation and risk governance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
RISK OVERSIGHT / ADVISORY
- Prepare risk assessment paper providing analysis and independent view from risk perspective on various financial & insurance risk related areas: Product & Pricing, Insurance & Reinsurance Risk, Market & ALM risk including Strategic Asset Allocation, Liquidity risk, Credit risk, Channel compensation
- Work closely and facilitate the discussion with all relevant team(s), e.g., actuarial, finance, investment product, distribution channel, operations, IT, Legal & Compliance to have better understanding on the issues and resolve effectively
- Engage with respective Group Risk colleague(s) whenever necessary
RISK REPORTING
- Prepare Financial Risk Reporting to Group FRC – providing summary and insights of key financial risk exposures, supported by analytical and business understanding while measuring the risk impact to the overall Company the following aspects: Insurance risk Interest Rate Risk (duration gap, DV100), Liquidity Risk, FX risk
- Conducting Stress Test: Solvency, Liquidity Adequacy, Earnings align with the Group Risk Policy / Framework
- Risk Reporting for Local Risk Committee: Prepare the deck summarizing risk analysis for Executive Risk Committee Meeting and Risk Oversight Committee Meeting Deck on the area of financial, product and insurance/reinsurance risk
- Risk Reporting to Group: Prepare annual ORSA (Own Risk and Solvency Assessment) report align with the Group requirement
- Regulatory Reporting: Annual OJK Soundness Report (Laporan TKS)
- Prepare the report, update the excel working, APOLO submission for the Conventional & Sharia business.
- Liaise with ERM team members for DPLK and Syariah Risk Reporting
RISK GOVERNANCE
- Ensure full compliance with both Regulatory and Group requirement for financial, insurance and product risk related areas
- Fully utilize AAMP system to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained and stored in the system in timely manner
- Support and assist Financial Risk Lead in developing/establishing risk policies/standard, guidelines/procedures align with AIA risk appetite and framework
Job Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in mathematics/Statistic/Finance/Economics/Engineering or related field with at least 5 years' experience in life insurance with actuarial background (Fully qualified actuary would be a plus)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, deep knowledge of insurance and financial markets, regulatory frameworks and experience with statistical analysis and able demonstrate a high-quality delivery
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, good & effective communication skills. Generally curious, actively ask questions and challenge while approaching issues in a positive way, seeking for solution and highly responsible for getting things resolved
