Objective

  • Increase our sales in the entire ASEAN region (Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia), not just your home country. China, Australia, and India are not part of this region.
  • Focus will be on our Brain Flakes educational building toy brand:

Job Description

  • Selling to and communicating with distributors and retail chains in ASEAN countries
  • Attending and planning trade shows to market our brand
  • Managing e-commerce channels (Shopee, Lazada, Tokopedia) or working with distributors who do so
  • Handling regulatory/localization issues in different countries
  • Managing inventory and working with our data forecasting team
  • Efficiently and honestly managing a budget
  • Proposing major plans to management for approval
  • Working with sales representatives (outside and inside)
  • Doing basic profitability calculations to ensure that we make money after marketing, product, logistics costs, etc.
  • Working with product design team for translations and products that are suitable for ASEAN markets
  • Maintaining dashboards to measure and communicate effectiveness of your work
  • Once positive cash flow has been established, potentially managing a team to grow the busienss

Requirements

  • High integrity and honesty
  • Ability to make decisions without assistance (you will be somewhat independent)
  • Experience in consumer goods
  • Experience in cross-border trade
  • Experience in ecommerce or brick-and-mortar retail stores
  • You must be able to join our semi-weekly 9 AM Texas Time meeting when needed. (9PM Indonesia, 10PM Singapore) (no longer than 30 minutes)
  • You must be willing to travel to do international travel
  • You may be asked to come to Singapore for training

Location

  • Role may start out remote
  • You will ultimately work in office in Sudirman Business District (Indonesia), 5 days a week

Compensation & Benefits

  • Main key performance indicator KPI will be cash flows generated from ASEAN (less the salaries of your team)
  • You will be paid in USD
  • Bonuses are given at the beginning of every February based on MERIT. These range from 0% to 15% of yearly salary.
