About the role

We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at PT Champ Resto Indonesia in our central Jakarta location. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. This is a contract position, offering the opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and leadership skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management
  2. Supervising and coordinating the kitchen team, ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation
  3. Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
  4. Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and managing kitchen resources
  5. Providing guidance and training to junior chefs and kitchen staff
  6. Collaborating with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless customer service
  7. Staying up-to-date with industry trends and implementing innovative cooking techniques

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
  2. Strong culinary skills and a deep understanding of various cooking methods and food preparation techniques
  3. Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
  4. Proven track record of leading and motivating a kitchen team
  5. Passion for creating delicious, visually appealing dishes
  6. Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices
  7. Creative flair and a willingness to experiment with new ingredients and flavours
  8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
