A premier Padel & Lifestyle Club in Uluwatu, featuring 10 world-class padel courts, a semi-olympic pool, and a vibrant social hub, is looking for a Creative Head Chef to design and lead the club's culinary direction, bringing a fresh and modern "All-Day Breakfast & Poolside Dining" concept to life.
The ideal candidate is a creative, business-minded chef who thrives in fast-growing hospitality environments. You're passionate about food that feels good and looks beautiful, grounded in local ingredients and global inspirations. You bring both culinary artistry and operational discipline, and you're eager to lead a small but passionate team in creating a concept that defines Uluwatu's new culinary identity.
Requirements :
- Open for local candidates.
- Minimum five years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in high-end cafés, resorts, or lifestyle venues.
- Proven expertise in menu development, cost control, and team management.
- Deep understanding of modern healthy cuisine, food styling, and presentation.
- Strong operational knowledge of kitchen systems, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Based in Bali or willing to relocate.
- Have a strong sense of menu storytelling and visual presentation.
- Understand how to balance taste, nutrition, and profitability.
- Enjoy leading teams with creativity, mentorship, and accountability.
- Embrace sustainability and support local sourcing.
- Thrive in Bali's lifestyle-driven hospitality scene.
Responsibilities :
- Design and execute a vibrant all-day breakfast and poolside dining menu aligned with the brand's wellness-driven philosophy.
- Develop creative, seasonal dishes that combine fresh tropical flavours with modern global influences.
- Innovate presentation styles that reflect the club's high-end yet approachable aesthetic.
- Collaborate with owners to design menus for special events, retreats, and group bookings.
- Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality and efficiency.
- Oversee all kitchen operations including production, service coordination, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure daily mise en place, food preparation, and service run smoothly and on time.
- Conduct regular training to maintain standards, creativity, and food knowledge.
- Source high-quality local ingredients while maintaining sustainability practices.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee daily ordering and par levels.
- Control food cost, portioning, inventory, and waste reduction.
- Oversee stocktakes, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain profitability.
- Monitor kitchen financial performance including P&L, food cost, and GOP contribution.
- Prepare budgets and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
- Develop cost-efficient menu items without compromising quality or presentation.
- Work closely with the owners and F&B management team to align culinary direction with the club's vision.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu evolution, guest experiences, and seasonal concepts.
- Support pre-opening preparation and ensure readiness of all kitchen facilities and staff.
