About the role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef & Cake Decorator to join our team. As a full-time member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and decorating a variety of high-quality pastries and cakes that delight our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Decorate cakes and pastries with intricate designs, patterns, and finishes to create visually stunning treats
  • Apply frosting, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements like flowers, fruits, or sugar work to create artistic designs.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new and innovative pastry and cake recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all food safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with any customer inquiries or special requests

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Cake Decorator in a professional kitchen environment
  • Formal training or a degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, or a related field
  • Exceptional baking and decorating skills, with a keen eye for detail and an artistic flair
  • Strong knowledge of various baking techniques, ingredient properties, and flavour profiles
  • Ability to work efficiently, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Passion for food, a commitment to quality, and a desire to provide an exceptional customer experience
