About the Team
You'll be part of Amartha's dynamic Product Design team—a collaborative group of designers, researchers, and thinkers who are passionate about creating meaningful financial solutions. We work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers to craft intuitive user experiences that align with our mission of economic inclusion. Our design culture values creativity, feedback, rapid iteration, and human-centered thinking to solve real-world challenges at scale.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our growing business needs by leading the design strategy across multiple products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver intuitive and user-centered design solutions that drive business impact and elevate the overall user experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and document design requirements for high-impact projects, facilitate problem solving sessions with stakeholders, iterate and deliver the final design to engineering..
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear design goals and oversee the design process from concept to execution.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure that designs are feasible, scalable, and implemented with high fidelity.
• Design user interfaces across Amartha products, building prototypes for user testing and iterating based on feedback.
• Conduct usability studies to test new concepts and refine existing products, ensuring they meet usability, durability, and aesthetic standards.
• Provide guidance to junior designers to uphold high standards in design, UI/UX, and visual quality.

Requirements

• Keen eye for aesthetics, color theory, and design detail with the ability to deliver polished, high-quality work.
• Ability to articulate ideas, designs, and rationale clearly to stakeholders, promoting collaboration and alignment.
• Strong team player capable of working cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders.
• Skilled in user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual and interaction design, and usability testing.
• Knowledge of design systems, UI patterns, and creative solutions to technical constraints.
• Experience designing for desktop, Android, and iOS platforms.
• Comfortable working in Figma, or similar collaborative design tools.
