About The Role
We're looking for a Product Design Leader to shape how trust is experienced across VIDA's products. You'll lead a small but high-performing team of senior designers and senior researchers while remaining hands-on with key projects that define our user experience at scale.

This is a hybrid role that combines strategy, leadership, and craft. You'll spend roughly half your time leading and mentoring designers and half actively designing, partnering with cross-functional teams to bring clarity and creativity to complex identity and verification challenges.

You'll play a pivotal role in scaling VIDA's design maturity, elevating quality and collaboration, and helping define how millions of people interact with trust in the digital world.

Key Areas of Ownership

• Design Leadership & Team Management: Shape the direction and daily operations of the design chapter by setting clear goals, defining processes, and ensuring high standards of craft. Lead and mentor 3–4 designers through structured feedback, career development, and continuous learning.
• Hands-On Design Execution: Lead end-to-end design on high-impact projects, from discovery to launch. Translate complex verification flows into simple, intuitive experiences that deliver measurable business and user impact.
• Product Discovery & User Research: Drive discovery initiatives to identify opportunities, define problems, and validate solutions. Collaborate with PMs and researchers to turn insights into actionable hypotheses that guide product direction.
• Collaboration & Alignment: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to align on priorities and success metrics. Foster strong relationships across functions, driving clarity, alignment, and shared ownership of outcomes.
• Design System & Quality: Evolve VIDA's design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility across products. Collaborate with engineers to bridge design and implementation, setting new standards for quality and usability.
• Design Impact & Culture: Champion a culture where design impact is measured, celebrated, and continuously improved. Track outcomes through qualitative research and data analysis to discover and benchmark the levers contributing to conversion, adoption and satisfaction.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in product design, including 2+ years managing or leading designers.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality end-to-end product design with measurable business results.
• Expertise in Figma and a strong foundation in interaction design, usability, and design systems.
• Experience building and scaling design teams, fostering collaboration, and driving product excellence.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills that connect user insights to business outcomes.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment where you balance leadership and execution.
