About the Role

PT Meja Tiga Rasa is expanding its digital acquisition team and looking for a Python Developer who specializes in data scraping, automation, and SEO-driven website sourcing.

You will build data pipelines that help us identify and evaluate potential website acquisition targets, working closely with the investment team in our Canggu office

Mission

Your main mission is to create reliable, automated scripts that crawl, collect, score, and structure website data. Your work directly supports our acquisition strategy and helps us make informed investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Data Scraping & API Integration
  • Build Python scripts to crawl directories, SERPs, and online listings.
  • Extract key website information (traffic, age, relevance, niche, monetization).
  • Connect to external APIs (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Similarweb, Wayback Machine, etc.) to enrich datasets.
  • Create scoring models for evaluating acquisition potential (traffic, backlinks, volatility, revenue estimates, risks).
2. Data Cleaning & Structuring
  • Clean and normalize large datasets using pandas.
  • Structure data for analysis and reporting.
  • Maintain consistency, naming standards, and documentation.
3. Automation & Pipeline Maintenance
  • Automate data exports and updates into Google Sheets and Excel (gspread, openpyxl).
  • Handle task scheduling (cron, GitHub Actions) and error logging.
  • Build pipelines that are reliable, well-documented, and easy for the team to use.
4. Collaboration
  • Work on-site with the acquisition and analysis team.
  • Communicate findings, errors, and improvements in clear English.
  • Support internal stakeholders with data insights and technical recommendations.
Required Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Python 3.

  • Experience with:

  • pandas

  • BeautifulSoup / Playwright / Selenium
  • requests / asyncio
  • Regular expressions
  • Experience automating Google Sheets or Excel (gspread, openpyxl).

  • Understanding of basic SEO metrics:

  • organic traffic

  • backlinks
  • authority metrics
  • site stability
  • Git & version control best practices.
  • Fluency in English for documentation and teamwork.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience using acquisition or SEO APIs (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Similarweb).
  • Familiarity with Docker or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with monetized digital business models (display ads, affiliate sites, niche content sites).
  • Prior exposure to web acquisition or website flipping.
Work Setup
  • Location: Canggu, Bali — on-site presence required
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Team: Work directly with our Bali-based acquisition and investment team
