As the Head Chef , you will be given a responsibility for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the kitchen. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the company's business performance and exceeds customer satisfaction through excellent food production, sanitation & hygiene.
Job Responsibilities :
- Food & Beverage Management : Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Menu Development : Create and update menus based on customer preferences.
- Kitchen Operations : Supervise food preparation, hygiene, and safety compliance.
- Staff Leadership : Recruit, train, and manage the F&B team.
- Inventory & Cost Control : Optimize stock management, reduce waste, and control expenses.
- Customer Engagement : Gather and act on guest feedback to enhance dining experiences.
- Marketing & Sales : Develop strategies to increase revenue and brand awareness.
- Compliance & Safety : Ensure adherence to health, safety, and HACCP regulations.
Job Qualifications :
- Candidate preferably holds a Diploma Degree (or equivalent) in Food & Beverages, Culinary Arts, or any relevant major
- Good understanding of Indonesian & Malaysian cuisines
- Ability to prepare simple Western breakfast dishes
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Willing to work during weekend and Public Holidays
- Strong leadership and multitasking skills
- Experience in hospitality (Hotel / Restaurants / Cafe) or F&B industry required
- Must be able to join within 1–2 weeks
- Must be able to commute to Nirup Island daily or live on the island (subject to space availability)
