Job Purpose:

Responsible for engineering design, calculations for pre-qualifications, tenders, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for all engineering designs and calculations to ensure project success.

·       Verify the suitability of selected vessels for the project requirements for Pre-Qual and Project.

·       Develop and optimize the stowage / carriage capacity of the vessels for Pre-Qual and Project

·       Carry out Transportation Analysis.

·       Conduct verification calculations with the Master of the vessel on the stability and sea worthiness of the vessel.

·       Collaborate with Ops and HSQE to ensure the design of cargo will enable efficient and safe workflow.

·       Prepare Stowage plan, towing arrangements, outfitting drawings etc.

·       Maintain the registry of drawings.

·       Perform site inspection when required.

·       Adhere to the company HSQE policies and practices.

Joint Accountabilities:

·       Collaborate with Commercial & Ops Dept for the effective execution of Charters / Projects.

·       Coordinate with Finance Dept for correct and timely invoicing.

Requirements

·     Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture or related marine Engineering

·     Working experience in Marine Industry/ Marine Transportation

·     Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

·     Ability to pay attention to detail

·     Self-motivated and proactive

·     Ability to conduct engineering design and verification for vessels and cargo

. Ability to execute detailed drawings using AutoCAD (2D/ 3D) software applications
