About the role : 

We are currently assisting our client, a prominent property developer, in their search for a highly skilled **Senior Accountant**. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in the real estate or property development industry. This role is crucial for managing financial reporting, ensuring tax compliance, and maintaining robust internal controls. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company's financial health and contributing to its continued growth and success.

Job Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) and other relevant regulations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to management and external stakeholders.

- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany transactions.

- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts. Analyze variances between actual results and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including corporate tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes. Prepare and submit tax returns and manage any tax audits or inquiries.

- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks and professional development.

- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for management and the board of directors.

- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, ensuring that the companys accounting practices remain compliant.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA) is preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate or property development industry.

- Strong knowledge of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) and relevant tax regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
